I haven't finished it yet, but it's a good movie! Neither is it a waste of time and netiher does it bring down morals! Yea, this happens in other communities and not all punjabies are like this.but stop being in denial! It's an important movie, its meant to be an eye opener and there is nothing wrong with that. "the times are changing" well ur not showing an example of that, ur not willing to accept change and new ideas such as this movie, so I dont think u can say that. We have to be honest about the problem, only then we can create change

This movie is odd! and very intriguing! on the other hand i thought it was stupid that ppl on the bus can see her hurt and no one is asking her wat happened. I just thought it was wierd that this is happening in Canada if it was US it would have been different. I have lots of punjabi friends and no one is like the way they portrayed a punjabi family to be in this movie. What happened in this movie was wrong and should never happen to anyone.

This movie , on one hand shows whats exactly happening with many punjabi gals, who are married abroad for a good future of their bros or other family membersm regardless how much gal has to suffer. Well presented upto this point. Same time it takes into account some idiot philosophy that one can see in some stories and they call it post-modernism. Showing Sesh-Naag disguising as her husband is simply stupidness just to develop a storyline. Wordings or aptly said abuses and some scences appear to be very real. An average movie on the whole.

erm movie seems great so far and the girl below me is right its not just in punjabi communities that you see this type of abuse and violence with but rather a lot of others as well but she or he should also understand that this movie is about one of those communities and it happens to be the punjabi community so thats what viewers are going to do is talk about punjabi people not some other random that has nothing to do with this film or the people its targeting. violence is a thing thats every where true but whatever. its sad to see and honestly i find it that punjabi women along side a lot of other women are very strong women and have a lot of respect for them because most of them over come a lot but theres still the few that let oppression by suck in laws through marriage or even their own families be the life they live and stay in. i grew with a lot of this type of abuse and violence but i can happily say that im glad my mother and father knew better then to treat each other this way just wish if others around them like family members and people from my own arab community knew better. so everything in this movie iv either witnessed as a child growing up or toke part in stoping, i use to think if i stood in the way they wouldnt dare and hurt a kid and they knew who my mother was so men would be scared, she may have had amazing beauty but she had strength so men feared and respected her, she knew she couldnt ask for respect with our type of people so she had to take it on her own. so i just wish if other women who are facing this type of abuse would just rather then wait for respect or love or being treated like a human, toke respect themselvs, and treated themselvs as they would want others to treat them before hand. no one is ever worth the grief. erm BTW, MY PUNJABI MAJORLY SUCKS, because im not reall indian, just have indian backround through rajput punjabi and mughal blah blah from my persian side. but im arab so erm IS there ANOTHER VERSON TO THIS MOVIE WITH SUBTITLES? LOL

I don't know much about sheshnag...bu I know for sure Punjbi's are abusive.I studied in Canada and saw few similar cases in real where inlaws were treating new bride like this...main problem was all of those girls only knew punjabi and were not able to communicate outside...even I tried to help one girl...I made to call to her parents and told that girl to tell the truth...her husband used to beat her up a lot...on other case I saw whole family used to keep a watch on the bride whenever mother had to go to India...she used ask her daughter who lived in USA to come to Canada and keep an eye on the bride...to make sure she doesn't talk outside much..all the cases I saw were only in Punjabis....

well had good story, beautiful acting looked real however i didnt liked the imagination i wish they would have made it more realistic then bringing Snake in and stuff. and surely few parts looks like provoked film buh in a way they were different may be the style of beating and reasons and stuff. it was worth watching.
