This Punjabi drama tells the life story of Sukha (Raj Babbar), who is responsible for the upbringing of his family. When Sukha was 21 years old, his stepmother died leaving him to rear her two boys Karma, Channi and daughter Guddi. Sukha fulfills the responsibility with great sincerity. Nagma Nagma Soon, Karma falls in love with Nimmi who happens to be the daughter of Sukha's best friend. But when her father decides to move to the city for better prospects, Karma and Nimmi looses touch with each other. Still yearning for his childhood sweetheart, Karma goes in search for his girlfriend in the big city but he is shocked to learn that Nimmi no longer loves him. Not prepared to accept defeat that easily, Karma decides to do all he can to get Nimmi back. Sukha's friend Sukha's friend Meanwhile in the prime of his youth, Sukha fell in love with a beautiful girl called Gurjit but withdrew his marriage proposal when he realised that she was hesitant about accepting his family. This rejection greatly infuriated Gurjit's brother, Kundan who now seeks revenge. Simmering with vengeances will Kundan forgive Sukha? Does the Sukha family remain united till the end to overcome their hurdles? This heart warming story of relationships, love and revenge is what this Punjabi family drama is all about.

OMG.....I can\'t believe Raj Babbar is getting married to a girl who almost can be his daughter\'s age. This is disgusting.Overall movie was good. It sad how people try to hold grudges generations after generations. It is also interesting to see how a Gursikh person denied entrance to someone to the gurdawara. That is so un Sikh like. Gurdawaras\'s doors are open to anyone. Hypocrite people make the Sikhs look bad.
